It’s my pleasure to welcome the prospective students and greet the current students. Sri Venkateswara College of Pharmacy (SVCOP) was established in 2007 and offers the entire spectrum of Pharmacy education: B.Pharm, M.Pharm (Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutics–Drug Regulatory Affairs, Pharmacology, Pharmacy Practice), Ph.D (Pharmaceutical Sciences), Pharm.D (Doctor of Pharmacy), Pharm.D. (Post Baccalaureate), Diploma in pharmacy. The college is permanently affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Anantapur (JNTUA), Ananthapuramu. The college is approved by Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and recognized under section 2(f) & 12(B) of UGC Act 1956.
SVCOP has a team of highly qualified faculty and student population of around 500 students who would serve the health community of the society in future. The students are imparted with advanced educational skills and qualities required to be a responsible citizen. The college is equipped with sophisticated research instrumentation and is a well- established research centre in Pharmaceutical Sciences. The college has received several research grants from All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Department of Science and Technology (DST), University Grants Commission (UGC). The college has published over 150 research articles in peer reviewed national and international journals. The faculty and students have presented over 100 research findings in prestigious conference, workshops and symposiums. In appreciation of the academic excellence and other achievements of the college, the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) and the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) have accorded the most coveted grades to SVCOP. The college is a recognized research centre for Pharmaceutical Sciences by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Anantapur (JNTUA). The college is also a DST-FIST sponsored institute as a result for exceptional quality of research conducted. The college is also a recognized in-house R & D centre by Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), New Delhi. The college has secured 62 nd Rank in National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF 2019) by the Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India.
The primary focus of SVCOP is for the holistic development of the students. The college also organizes periodically several professional refresher courses, workshops, seminars, etc. Apart from curricular activities, emphasis is given on developing the inter-personal communication skills of students by conducting various lectures and seminars by eminent personalities. The sports activities are also conducted periodically for the students. The college takes pride of its prestigious alumni spread across the entire subcontinent and as well as globally.
